The Joffrey Ballet Beth Levine Bridge Program is aligned with The Chicago Guide for Teaching and Learning in the Arts and is designed to introduce students from Chicago Public Schools to the basic elements of classical ballet. This program provides kindergarten through second grade students with a highly structured dance experience where they develop life skills, creativity, and physical awareness. One of the main goals of the program is to identify and train the next generation of dancers at the Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official 
         School of The Joffrey Ballet.  ***Program runs from October 21st - June 15th.***

Fall Season Registration: GOTR Fall Registration

Girls on the Run inspires girls to recognize their inner strength and celebrate what makes them one of a kind. Trained coaches lead small teams through our research-based curricula which includes dynamic discussions, activities and running games. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event on November 23 at Grant Park.  Please contact prowe@cps.edu with any questions.

Develop early basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing along with the basic rules of the game. Each class includes instruction as well as structured games. A lower basket and a smaller ball will be used. This class is for the basketball beginner looking to understand the game, learn new skills, and have a ball! ***Maximum registration of 20 students.

Mission Propelle emphasizes social and emotional learning, helping girls build confidence and problem-solving skills!  In every class, boys and girls celebrate their bodies through yoga, build literacy and leadership skills through books, and make new friends through games.  Students are working towards embracing their true selves and advocating for themselves and what they believe. Registration: iCook Cooking Classes Registration

iCook is a fun hands-on after-school cooking program for children in grades K-4!  Chefs will learn how to make and love healthy dishes one class at a time! During each class, chefs learn culinary skills, recipe reading, nutritional value, and how to cultivate an environment where diversity is celebrated through cultural food awareness.  This is an allergen free zone! Grades 2-4 | M/W/F | Fall Season | October 3 - December 20
Fall Season Registration: Urban Initiatives Soccer Interest Form

The Work to Play Soccer program will be from October 3rd through December 20th on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:30 - 5:00 pm.  Work to Play provides students in grades 2-4 with the chance to belong to a soccer team, regardless of skill level. Trained coaches provide a safe environment for play and learning and teach important lessons about health and social-emotional learning. Coaches, parents, and educators collaborate to ensure kids have a support system on the field, in the classroom, and at home. Participants earn game time based on teacher-submitted academic and behavior reports. Throughout the year, kids have the opportunity to travel to other Chicago communities for games and take field trips to Chicago cultural institutions.
