Heather Burke7th GradeHello Bateman Families!
My name is Ms. Burke, and I am so excited to be joining the Bateman team for the 26'-27' school year! I will be working with our Middle School Diverse Learners. Having spent the last 12 years with Chicago Public Schools, I am deeply committed to supporting students across Chicago. I hold a degree in Special Education from Iowa State University, where my passion for neurodiversity and instructional technology first began. While I love teaching Math and Science, helping a student find that next unforgettable book is just as rewarding and exciting for me! When I’m not at school, I enjoy traveling, being outdoors, going on walks with my two little boys, or relaxing with a good book at a neighborhood coffee shop. My love for exploration has taken me around the world—from visiting classrooms in Nicaragua to swimming in Greece’s Aegean Sea and riding camels across Morocco’s Sahara Desert. I am excited to partner with you and your students this year! |
