Ms. Melissa Kronthal
Welcome to room 224! I started at Bateman in 2015, and I am so excited to start another year as the 3rd-5th grade teacher of diverse learners. I received a Master of Science in Teaching for Special Education from Fordham University, and I received a Bachelor of Arts from Bucknell University. I am certified to teach Wilson Reading System Level I, which supports students identified with a language-based learning disability, such as dyslexia, at the beginning levels of encoding and reading. Before I moved to Chicago, I taught in public schools in New York City and New Jersey. I love living in Chicago and exploring all this great city has to offer!
I am excited to get to know all of my students and their families. Please feel free to email me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions that you may have or to schedule a time to meet at school. I hope we can work together to help each child reach his or her greatest potential.
