Bit Space is Chicagoland's premier maker lab for kids and teens. Our campers participate in hands-on design-and-build projects using hand tools and power tools, laser cutters and 3D printers, electronics, computers, and more. We offer week-long camps (Mon-Fri from 9am-4pm) for kids ages 6 through high school at each of our 3 locations: Lincoln Square, Wilmette, and West Loop at Whitney Young High School. Please see the attached flyer for more details.  Principal Madeline Dillman and Assistant Principal Rosie Duncan made a great duo while leading Bateman today! What an honor to have you two leading our school! You both made sure to share our positive culture, were very helpful to students and teachers, gave productive feedback, and stayed professional the whole day!  Announcing Bateman’s Fourth Annual Free Summer Theater Camp for first through fourth graders! During summer theater camp, students will be working on a variety of performing arts such as acting, music, and movement. Each day will focus on a performing art technique and will culminate in a performance at the end of the week. Students will need to arrive at Bateman at 9:00am and will need to be picked up at 12:00pm. There will be no lunch provided but students will have a 15 minute break where they can bring a snack. This year we are also allowing any older siblings to participate as stage crew. ALL forms must be turned in by June 15th 2018 and class will be limited to only 15 students. Durante el campamento en el verano de teatro, los estudiantes estarán estudiando en cómo actuar, en música y movimiento. Cada día se enfocarán en una técnica diferente y al final de la semana harán una presentación.
Los estudiantes deben llegar a las 9:00 y tendrán que ser recogidos a las 12:00. No se les proveerá almuerzo, pero ellos tendrán 15 minutos de descanso y pueden traer una merienda. Este año también estamos permitiendo a los hermanos mayores a participar como equipo del escenario. Todas las formas deberán ser entregadas antes del 15 de junio de 2018.
