Fathers’ Club First Meeting
Pitchfork Restaurant 2922 W. Irving Park Wednesday, October 25th 6-7:30pm You are invited to this year’s first Bateman Fathers’ Club meeting. We will be discussing future activities and upcoming events. If you would like to help shape this new exciting club please join us! For more information please email Alex Fernandez at [email protected] On Saturday, Oct. 17, Bateman hosted a National Chess Day Invitational. About 100 players from six different schools came to play five rounds of intense chess. The Bateman team was able to claim one first place prize in the 5th-8th grade novice section, led by a first place individual honor by Jocelyn Santana. Trophies were also won by Andrey Novikov, Andrew and David Tebbe. This kicks off the 2017-2018 season. Let's hope we can continue our success!
This is a friendly reminder that the last day to cancel Session 2 is Friday, October 20, 2017. If you would like to cancel please email our Finance Manager Julie Stone at [email protected] by this date. Invoices for Session 2 will be sent out this week. Payment for Session 2 is due by Friday, October 27, 2017. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Nissa Finch, the after-school Director for Bateman & Cleavland school.

This is a friendly reminder that CPS will be closed on Monday, October 9,2017 for Columbus Day. NBGC will be open on this day from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Programs will take place at 2501 West Irving Park Road at the Clubhouse. If your child will be joining us on this day, please email Nissa Finch at [email protected] and state that your child will be in attendance. Please provide your child with a lunch for the day. A snack will be provided by NBGC later on in the afternoon. This day is included in Session 1. If you have any question or concerns, please contact Nissa Finch, thank you. Donation Drive FOR THE PEOPLE OF PUERTO RICO As you may know, families in our community have loved ones currently living in Puerto Rico which recently suffered one of the most devastating hurricanes in history. To show our support, Bateman is collecting items desperately needed. If you can help, please drop items from the below list in the box in the North Foyer before or after school between now and October 13th by 4:00pm. Bateman will be taking the donations to the drop off locations sponsored by the organization Puerto Rico Rises. There is also a Saturday drop off at the Casa Puertorriqueña (1237 N. California). Thank you so much for your generosity! Si puede ayudar, por favor, deje los artículos de la lista de abajo en la caja que estará localizada por la oficina del Norte antes o después de la escuela entre ahora y el 13 de octubre a las 4:00 pm. A special thank you goes out to Walgreens for being part of our wellness fair as well. We had over 100 participants and raised over $1,100 for the Physical Education Department!!! We could not have done it without everyone's generosity and support.
