Kendall WilliamsonKindergarten - Room 107I grew up in Champaign, Illinois – home of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I have two degrees from the U of I, including a master’s degree in Elementary Education. I also received my English as a Second Language endorsement from Roosevelt University in 2018. This is my third year teaching kindergarten at Bateman Elementary School - I am honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside such caring and supportive coworkers and families in the Bateman community!

Classroom Info
I want Room 107 to be a safe, structured, and welcoming environment where every student feels prepared to learn and have fun. Kindergarten is an important year that builds the skills, self-reliance, and persistence that students will use throughout the rest of their schooling. Therefore, I believe in the importance of creating strong partnerships with families to help every child reach their full potential and succeed in school. Please feel free to email me (KLWilliamson3@cps.edu) or contact me through ClassDojo with any questions or concerns you have throughout the year!
Fun Facts
I enjoy watching movies, spending time with family, singing, and playing soccer, tennis, and volleyball. I also love to travel! My husband, Evan, and I lived in Manchester, England for a semester in college – I became a Manchester City Football Club fan then, and still am today! We also adopted a dog named Watson in Summer 2018, we love him like a child!
My mother was a P.E. and performing arts teacher for many years, and my older sister is an enrichment teacher in Champaign. They are my role models – teaching runs in our family! It’s no surprise that I have always fostered a love of learning, and my goal is to inspire every one of my students to share that desire to constantly wonder, ask questions, and want to know more about the world around them.
