Alexis Alberto3rd GradeThis will be Ms. Alberto's seventh year teaching 3rd grade at Bateman! Prior to Bateman, Ms. Alberto have experience teaching at catholic schools and a Montessori school where she coached students in practicing daily routines and promoted cognitive development and motor skills. Ms. Alberto is a graduate of Northeastern Illinois University and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in English as a Second Language (ESL).
Ms. Alberto grew up in the Philippines and moved to Bartonville, Illinois when she was 9 years old. She moved to Chicago in 2004 where she attended Mather High School. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, hosting dinners, and spending time with her friends and family. Ms. Alberto is a committed and goal-oriented educator who is a positive role model that encourages diligence, academic curiosity, and ambition in children. Her experience with diverse learners has influenced her teaching and taught her the importance of cultural appreciation, differentiated learning styles and the value of developing critical thinking skills. |
