All absences should be reported through Aspen Parent Portal!

Steps to take to submit an absence:

1. Notify your child’s teacher before the start of the day via email.
2. Enter an E-Absence feature in Aspen
   1. You can now submit, schedule, and track student absences through the Aspen Parent Portal. That means no more making last-minute phone calls or completing paper forms!
   2. Sign in to your account at ASPEN.CPS.EDU and start using the E-Absence feature today. You can also learn more at Aspen E-Absence FAQs.
3. Caretakers may still receive the CPS Robocall indicating your child’s absence. If your child’s absence is approved prior, you will not receive the Robocall.
4. If you would like to confirm your child’s absence, please send a note with your child upon return.
