Loyola University Chicago 2016 Before joining the Bateman staff, I received my Bachelors of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Clemson University. I worked in public and private schools in Virginia, adapting environments and curriculum to meet the needs of students with physical disabilities. My time in the Virginia schools made me interested in the Special Education field. I moved to Chicago to pursue my Masters of Education degree at Loyola University. In 2016, I received a Masters of Education in Special Education with endorsements in LBS1 (K-21), General Education (K-9), and English as Second Language (ESL). During my time at Loyola, I completed clinicals at Bateman, and fell in love with the school and community. I have thoroughly enjoyed working and learning at Bateman over the last four years. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, hiking, and visiting my family and friends back east. I travel frequently to learn from other places and cultures to better engage my students.
