Cindy Villalobos6th Grade MathWelcome! My name is Cindy Villalobos. This is my first year in Chicago Public Schools, but my 7th year teaching. I previously taught 6th-8th grade math in a western suburb of Chicago. This year I will be teaching 6th-grade math and I am so thrilled to be at Bateman!
I am a lifelong northwest side Chicago resident and a CPS graduate. I currently hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Middle Level Education with endorsements in Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Bilingual Spanish education. I am continuing my professional growth by pursuing a Master’s in Instructional Leadership at the University of Illinois at Chicago. When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, hiking, biking, dancing, reading and cooking. My husband and I enjoy exploring the diverse cultural festivities, culinary experiences and outdoor trails in the city. I know that my students and I will have an amazing year learning and growing together! Mi nombre es Cindy Villalobos. Este es mi primer año en las Escuelas Públicas de Chicago, pero mi séptimo año en la enseñanza. Anteriormente enseñé matemáticas de sexto a octavo grado en un suburbio al oeste de Chicago. ¡Este año enseñaré matemáticas de sexto grado y estoy muy emocionada de estar en Bateman! Soy residente de toda la vida del noroeste de Chicago y me gradué de CPS. Actualmente tengo una licenciatura en educación de nivel primario y medio con endosos en matemáticas, ciencias, estudios sociales, lenguaje y educación bilingüe en español. Continúo mi crecimiento profesional al realizar una Maestría en Liderazgo Instruccional en la Universidad de Illinois en Chicago. Cuando no estoy enseñando, me encanta pasar tiempo con mi familia y amigos, viajar, andar en bicicleta, bailar, leer y cocinar. Mi esposo y yo disfrutamos explorar las diversas festividades culturales, experiencias culinarias y senderos al aire libre en la ciudad. ¡Sé que mis estudiantes y yo tendremos un año increíble aprendiendo y creciendo juntos!
