About Me

​I have been teaching at Bateman since 2013 and, more specifically, Preschool in Room 102 since 2016! Prior to Bateman, I worked at another CPS school for six years. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Bradley University in Elementary and Special Education and my Master's Degree from DePaul University in Social and Cultural Foundations in Education. I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2012 and I currently mentor teacher candidates seeking their National Board Certification through the Chicago Teachers Union Nurturing Teacher Leadership program. I also received my English as a Second Language Endorsement through the University of St. Francis. When I am not busy with teaching or mentoring, my husband and I enjoy walking our dog, going out to eat, playing tennis, and traveling. My son, James, is a student at Bateman and he likes to play soccer, baseball, and chess.
