5th Grade Inclusion Teacher

I am the inclusion teacher for 5th grade Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies for the 2023 - 2024 school year. As the inclusion teacher, my job is to ensure that all students have the ability to access academic curriculum and be successful in 5th grade. This is my 9th year at Bateman and I love being a part of this community. My passion is helping all learners reach their full potential.

Personal Info 

I attended Southeast Missouri State University and received degrees in Exceptional Child Education (Special Education) as well as Elementary Education. I was born and raised in Southern Illinois and moved to Chicago after graduation. I started working at Bateman in 2015 and never looked back! I have worked in grades 5th - 8th and done both resource instruction and inclusion. 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two young daughters. We love being in nature and exploring all the parks in the city. I also love traveling, reading, and trying new yummy food!
