James McGuire8th Grade InclusionWelcome to my page! This school year I will be working as an 8th grade inclusion teacher for ELA and Math classes.
I grew up in the the southwest suburbs of Chicago with my twin brother and sister. I found my love of teaching volunteering during my junior year of high school. I attended Illinois State University and earned my Learning and Behavior Specialist degree. My career as a Chicago Public School teacher began in the Little Village neighborhood where I taught 7th and 8th graders. Five years later, I had the opportunity to join the staff at Bateman. Over the past four school years, I've had the incredible opportunity to support eighth grade students and their families. When I am not teaching, I enjoy cooking, reading new books, spending time with my family and friends, and being active. |

During the 2020 - 2021 school year I will be co-teaching with Ms. Noonan (ELA) and Ms. Butler (Math).
One phrase that we like to keep in mind in 8th grade is, "Practice Makes Better," because none of us are perfect, but we can always try to be and do better. Please don't hesitate to email me with any questions or concerns at jmcguire4@cps.edu
