Welcome to Preschool! My name is Amy Knobel and I have been teaching at Bateman School for 24 years. I have a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from National Louis University along with an Endorsement in ESL. At home, I have two daughters. My older daughter is a sophomore at Arizona State University, studying psychology. My second daughter is a junior in High School and is very involved theater. Outside of school, I love to walk, see movies and theater. I am really excited to be working with you and your children this year!
PreSchool For All
The pre-K experience is critical, as it helps 3 and 4-year-old children develop the academic and life skills that will carry them into adulthood. Pre-K provides children with essential opportunities to learn and practice the social-emotional, problem-solving, and academic skills that they will use throughout their lives.
Our classroom consists of two half day programs. The morning session is from 8:15-10:50am, and the afternoon session is from 12:35-3:05pm. Within the classroom we engage students in many activities ranging from social - emotional, literacy, math, and science. Students learn through cooperative play, whole group and small group activities, including gross and fine motor skills.
