Kyra Rush

1st Grade Dual Language

Hi first grade families! My name is Miss Rush and I am so excited to be your child’s first grade dual language teacher.

I was born in Canada & grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. After graduating with a major in both Elementary Education and Spanish, I earned a Fulbright scholarship to live and teach English in Spain for one school year. Upon return, I taught first grade bilingual in Aurora.

I am so excited to join the Bateman community this year. I believe in dual language and as a language learner myself, I could not be more excited for the opportunity to teach your child in both Spanish and English.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy walking the lake, learning to cook, playing board games, finding new coffee shops, traveling, and reading.

I will be in close contact with you throughout the year as we partner together in your child’s education because your support is important and we couldn’t do this without you!
