Hello and thanks for being excited about Bateman.  I've taught 5th-8th grade students during my 14 years of teaching and have taught every content area in middle school.  I look forward to creating an exciting and engaging learning environment for your children.

Prior to becoming a teacher I worked in the banking industry for 8 years.  Growing up I worked various labor jobs and learned skills that are applicable to life on a daily basis.  I think all of our life and cultural experiences bring valuable thought and lessons to our classrooms.  Valuing our students and parents life experiences, careers, and hobbies makes everyone a part of our community and classroom environment.  

I live in the Lincoln Square neighborhood with my wife Laura (who is also a teacher) and our two children, Ben & Ellie.   In my spare time I like collecting vintage toys and sports memorabilia, vacationing near water, eating food, coaching youth sports and working on my home projects.
