Sonia Suqi8th Grade InclusionHi Bateman Families! I am so happy to be part of the Bateman community. This school year I will be working as the 8th grade ELA and Math inclusion teacher. My career as a teacher started in 2014 when I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education and later received my Master’s degree in Special Education. Since then I have taught at other Chicago schools and made Bateman my home about 7 years ago. For the last three years I have been on the 8th grade team as the Special Education teacher.
I was born and raised on the north side of Chicago and attended CPS schools growing up. My love for teaching started at a young age because of the amazing teachers I met along the way. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my 2 boys Tristan and Isaiah and exploring everything our city has to offer. I am really looking forward to this school year and can’t wait to get to know each and everyone of you! |
