Mary Tripp7th GradeI have been teaching for over a quarter of a century in Chicago Public Schools, I have been a member of the Bateman faculty since 2001. I love being a teacher, and have a special fondness for the middle school age level.
I grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and have always lived in the area with the exception of the four years I lived in Champaign attending the University of Illinois. I have two Master's degrees, one in Teaching from National Louis University, and the other in Leadership from Concordia University. My greatest accomplishment, however, is being the parent of my two amazing kids, Elisabeth and David. Elisabeth just started college at the University of Missouri, while David is a Junior at Lane Tech High School. In addition to reading, I practice martial arts, pilates, and yoga, and I love to travel and spend time outdoors. I also spend a lot of time caring for my dogs Scout (pictured with Mr. Warden) and Charlie (pictured with me). This year I will be using Google Classroom to communicate with students and parents. This will be the place to find homework assignments, projects, and other important information. |
