Ximena Gimenez

KIndergarten

My name is Ms. Gimenez. I am pleased to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year! I am so excited to be your child’s Kindergarten teacher! This is my first year teaching and my third year as part of the wonderful Bateman community. I began my career with CPS 10 years ago as a SECA. I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Chicago and I’m a product of CPS, myself. I attended NorthEastern Illinois University where I received my bachelors in Social work and just this past Spring graduated from National Louis University where I completed a Masters of Arts in Teaching- Early Childhood Education. 

I have been dreaming about my first group of amazing students for YEARS! I know we have a wonderful year ahead of us full of learning, laughter and growth. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. As a teacher I believe our classroom is a family, and together we will achieve anything and everything. I love Kindergarten and all the exploring, learning and fun we get to have. It is so important for me to create a fun, loving, safe and supportive classroom environment that my students will thrive with. I look forward to learning and growing together and building strong relationships with my students and their families.

Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my 8 year old son, 3 year old daughter and my amazing family and friends. I enjoy working out, eating tacos and pizza and doing lots of shopping at TARGET! 

I am so thrilled that we will be spending the year together. You are in for a wonderful adventure here in kindergarten.
