Chicago Public Library The Chicago Public Library has 80 physical locations, including a central library, two regional libraries, and branches distributed throughout the city. The CPL is offering temporary e-Cards to students that do not currently have a Chicago Public Library card. With a card, students are able to take advantage of the many digital books and other online services offered.
CPS Recommended Reading Lists The Recommended Reading Lists are created by the Department of Literacy: Libraries team in collaboration with teams of CPS librarians. These lists feature recommended newer books, which are quality, critically reviewed literature. The books on the various lists are carefully selected to highlight diversity, the power of peace, the Spanish language and/or to align to the curriculum and general interests of students.
