Bateman Broadcast

Buenos dias, Bateman students, parents and staff!
Today is Friday, March 20, 2020.
Did you know today is ravioli day?
Each day during the school closures,
we will be sending announcements and activities to do with your child(ren) at home!
Elias has been busy earning his Blaze Bucks at home! Way to go!
Keep sharing pictures with us of how you're staying busy at home!

Happy Birthday!
We would like to wish a "feliz cumpleaños" to...

  • Camila in Room 108
  • Jahari in Room 212
  • Richard in Room 318

Come down to the North Office when we return to school for your birthday pencil!

Mystery Musician

Each day, we will add a new clue to the Mystery Musician Competition to continue celebrating Music in our Schools Month!

Our mystery musician this week was ...
JULIE ANDREWS!

Congratulations to
Macy F., Natasha R., Keira D., Isabella, Hayden Z., Monica U., & Adelita W.
for guessing correctly!

A winner was selected through an online random selector and this week's winner is Monica U. from room 301! Mrs. Soto will have your prize when we come back to school!

As Music in Our Schools month comes to a close, we look forward to sharing one last Mystery Musician in next week's Bateman Broadcast!

Today, we will have Spanish with Ms. Martinez!

Ms. Martinez recommends the following websites to help you practice your Spanish speaking skills!
  • Try DuoLingo, where you can learn many different languages for free. Challenge your family to learn Spanish or another new language along with you!
  • Check out Butterfly Spanish. This YouTube Channel helps you learn grammar, vocabulary, and phrases. Try the lesson on "Learning to talk about being HAPPY!"
  • Spanish Playground has several games that help you practice new vocabulary.
  • RockaLingua has a variety of songs to sing along and practice Spanish!

Daily Read Aloud

Let's continue celebrating Spring!
Click the image above to read along with "Una semilla, nada más" by Alma Flor!

Daily Brain Break

Time to move our bodies!

Put on your dancing shoes! It's time to have a dance party with your families. Learn some new dance moves from Kidz Bop, or start your own dance party with your favorite songs.

Activity Central

Time to get busy!

As the new season starts, let's do our part and celebrate by planting a seed!  Visit Plant A Seed Day to pledge to plant a seed...even if it's a day late!  There are scientific investigations, activities and more to explore together!

Some Special Messages from Special Teachers

...who miss you VERY much!

Independent Work Time!

Time to grow our brains!

Students, please remember to complete your daily assignments from your teachers!  Reach out to your teachers if you have any questions about your work.  Also, please remember to follow the Blaze Ways: Be Safe, Be Responsible, and Be Respectful!  Parents, have those Blaze Bucks ready!
Have a great day everyone! We miss you!

Stay healthy,
Ms. Davos & Ms. Kloepper
