Meet Bateman Elementary's October Teacher of the Month Peggy Butler is an 8th Grade math teacher at Bateman! When asked to share a little information about her motivation to become a teacher and her experiences as an educator, Ms. Butler shared the following: “As a little child, I'd gather the smaller neighborhood children and run a make-shift Saturday school. So 17 years later, I'm still turning my childhood pretend play into a teaching career I love! I've been at Bateman for all 17 years; I truly feel the students, teachers, and administration are my second family. At Bateman, I'm a participant on the Math Leadership Team and the EL team. This year, I am excited to be working with teachers to help instruction. Outside of school, I have two beautiful children. Reagan is 12 years old, and Declan is 8. They keep me busy running to hockey and drama classes! Ms. Butler is an amazing asset to Bateman. Her instruction, collaboration, and leadership skills are second to none. Congratulations, Ms. Butler! Comments are closed.
