Meet Bateman Elementary's June Teacher of the Month

Please join us in congratulating Priscilla Rowe as Bateman Elementary’s June, 2016 Teacher of the Month. We asked Ms. Rowe to share her bio with us.  Please read  below:

Priscilla started at CPS in 2009 as an administrator supporting schools in the use of data and technology to improve instruction. She joined the Bateman team as a 4th grade teacher in 2014. The next year, Priscilla transitioned into a 1st grade gifted classroom and she is inspired by and grateful for the experiences it has brought. Since she started at Bateman in 2013, Priscilla has been an excited member of the Bateman staff and community. She is a member of the bilingual, gifted, and science teams, hosts after-school programs and has helped coach girls' basketball, and she was recently elected to the Local School Council (LSC).

Priscilla is a lifelong Chicagoan. She loves to travel and has always been a passionate believer in the power of education. She is an avid reader and loves to craft and sew; many of her projects can be found in her classroom. Priscilla is equally passionate about her precious puppy, Toby, whose photos can also be found throughout her classroom. Priscilla earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign and completed her Master's Degree in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC).

Congratulations, Ms. Rowe!  We are so proud to have you on our Bateman team!
