I am so honored to be Bateman’s October Teacher of the Month! Being a part of the Bateman staff has been a joy and I have learned so much from my colleagues over the last two years. Before moving to Chicago, I attended Clemson University where I earned a degree in Therapeutic Recreation. After graduating, I began substitute teaching at the school where my mom worked. I realized there the importance of providing equal access to education and decided to become a teacher. In order to further my education, I moved to Chicago to pursue a Masters Degree in Special Education. Since my move, I have fallen in love with the great city of Chicago and the opportunities, diversity, and culture it offers. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors, visiting family and friends, and traveling to different countries. I have loved my time at Bateman and am looking forward to a great year with my great students! Comments are closed.
