Dear Bateman Families and Friends,

1st & 2nd Grade Artists
Letter and number sequence art inspired by American Artist Jasper Johns. 1st and 2nd grade artists explored layering various art mediums to create a textured grid. Students used their literacy and math skills to fill in their grid, using Jasper Johns paintings ‘Alphabet’ and ‘0 through 9’ as their inspiration.

As we look ahead to even more celebrations next week, please be reminded that we are a healthy school. For Valentine's Day, please refrain from bringing in any candy, sweets, or any other foods or beverages, as they may not be consumed by or distributed to students.  Only non-food Valentine's Day items are allowed, such as pencils, stickers, and other fun things. If you do choose to send items, please make sure that they are individually wrapped and inclusive of all children.
