Dear Bateman Families and Friends,

Thank you all for a fantastic first half of the quarter! We have enjoyed amazing summer weather and are all benefitting from reclaiming our ceremonies and traditions.  It warms our heart to attend assemblies, pep-rally and witness our collaborative, student-centered learning. We are continuously reminded that we collectively create a great place for our children to grow up.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! At Bateman, we truly believe that the diversity of our school community is at the heart of creating a special experience for our students. We prioritize the celebration of all our cultures throughout the entire year and emphasize lessons and texts that highlight the cultures represented in our school.  Please keep a look out for highlights of the many ways we celebrate and bring culture to life throughout the school day.

We thank you for your ongoing engagement in our wonderful school community and look forward to building even more community as the year continues.

Warm regards,

Ms. Davos & Ms. Kloepper

BATEMAN WEBSITE   |  TRADUCIR ESTA PAGINA  |   TEACHER WEBSITES   |  CONTACT US

Dear Bateman Families and Friends,

We had a wonderful visit today from Network 1 representatives and toured over 15 classrooms! They were incredibly impressed with the amount of standards aligned, engaging instruction happening all across the school. We couldn't be more proud of our educators for not only cultivating a strong sense of classroom community but for intentionally planning meaningful lessons for our children - and we're only in week 3!

Throughout the last week, educators have been gathering insightful data to guide their instruction further and cater to the individual needs of the classrooms. This is a vital time for teachers to truly understand the dynamic make up of their students, build trusting relationships, and adjust unit plans for differentiated opportunities of acceleration and support. All educators will be finished with assessments by the end of next week, including the Fountas & Pinnell Benchmark Reading Assessment in K-4, iReady assessment in K-2 Math, and Star360 for Reading & Math in 3-8th.

Next week brings a unique opportunity to learn more about your child's educational experience this year. We hope to see all families at Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 15th. We ask that you arrive at either 5pm for the first session or 5:45pm for the second session so you do not miss pertinent information. We look forward to seeing you!

Warm regards,

Ms. Davos & Ms. Kloepper
