This week the Student Council and the NJHS invite you to play the Penny Wars! The Penny Wars will take place from Monday, April 24, through Friday, April 28. Collection boxes will be placed by Door #5. Students should place their coins or bills in the boxes during recess/lunch only. The money collected will be donated to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.

Illinois law and CPS policy mandate that sexual health education be taught to all students in grades K-12. All lessons are grade-level appropriate. Students in grades 5-8 are beginning their lessons during Health class. Our school tulips are in bloom! On Thursday, April 20 they will be cut and available for sale at $3 per stem. They make great mother and teacher gifts. Proceeds from the sale will benefit our school gardens.
