CPS rolled out a budget "freeze" for all school last Monday, which resulted in a loss of $206,334 for Bateman (2.71% of its total 2016-2017 budget). The amount for each school was based on remaining funds available from all school budgets. These cuts are due to the current CPS budget deficit along with the state not coming through with the $215 million that was promised. At this moment, we have a minimum budget to work with for the rest of the school year. Despite the mid-year challenges, Bateman will move forward and stay strong for our children.
